This last has been used for decades. It is part of our history and character as England's oldest shoe manufacturer. C.F Stead waxy suede is a traditional heavy weight “Hunting Suede” or reverse suede.
It offers a characteristic rough, casual suede with a completely natural full grain on the reverse, which is provided oiled and waxed to provide a high level of weather proofing.
This offers comfort and durability, and the waxed suede can be readily brushed and re-waxed to restore the original look after heavy wear.
