    The Leather

Our 1001 Burnished Acorn takes our classic Acorn and delivers is with a beautiful burnished look with darker tones. An iconic piece.Made from calf leather, calf leather is finer grained, and lighter in weight than the hide of older cattle. This means that it is also more supple. It is also very durable in comparison to its thickness. These shoes have a mottling effect which is a result of the burnishing. Aftercare for this leather, we use mid-tan, fawn or neutral shoe polish. You may find that you need to use a brown polish on the welt, if you do then be careful not to allow the brown pigmented polish to get onto the 1001 burnished leather.
