    The Description

This classic style has been a constant in Tricker’s history and we have reintroduced it for SS23 using a new leather from C.F Stead called Eco Buck.

The sole we are using on this style is the Vibram GumLite sole, which offers improved grip on flat and polished surfaces.

This soft lightweight compound of this sole is perfect for the changing seasons and the cushioning is ideal for long walks and people who work on their feet most of the day.

    The Leather

A new Stead tannage which is chrome-free and metal free. The absence of the chrome enables Stead’s to achieve spectacularly clean colours. The fine C.F Stead leather has components that have been assessed and altered where possible to allow for a more ecologically sound product. We have chosen Charcoal Eco Buck, Husk Eco Buck, Navy Eco Buck and Blackberry Eco Buck.

    The Fit

This last has been used for decades. It is part of our history and character as England's oldest shoe manufacturer. The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (W2298) is true to size, we recommend sticking to your regular than a regular UK. If you are unsure of your UK size, use our size guide to convert your known size to a UK size.

    SHOE KNOWLEDGE

    Chukka Boot

The Chukka boot’s origins are relatively obscure – originally known as ‘vellies’ ( Veldskoene or colloquially vellies), a South African walking shoe, they were first made by 17th-century Dutch settlers.
